Volleyball Recap: Tallmadge Takes a Loss

Tallmadge lost against Coventry back in August of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Blue Devils took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Comets. The Blue Devils have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

While Tallmadge ultimately came up short, they didn't go down without a fight: they scored at least 18 points in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 22-25, 25-18, 25-20.

Eva Arnold paced Tallmadge's offense, picking up 13 kills. Arnold got some help from Madison Bezbatchenko and her 17 assists. Arnold also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Emily Hunkele, racking up three apiece.

Tallmadge now has a losing record of 1-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Tallmadge will take on Crestwood at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Coventry, they will square off against Streetsboro at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. The match will give the Comets their first taste of in-conference action this season.
