            Football Recap: Valwood Valiants vs. North Florida Christian Eagles        
        
		
        
        
            Valwood hadn't done well against North Florida Christian recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way  on Friday. The Valiants took down the Eagles 37-21. That's more bragging rights for the Valiants, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

 Kamari Jackson continued  his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 164 yards and a pair of  TDs. Those  164  rushing yards gave  him a new career-high.  Tayt Snellgrove was another key player, rushing for 29 yards and one  score.
 They were just one part of a punishing run game: Valwood was unstoppable on the ground and  finished the game with 280  rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now  rushed for at least 150  rushing yards every time they've taken the field this season.
 Despite the loss, North Florida Christian still got an impressive performance from   Tommy Coyne, who threw for 186 yards and a pair of  touchdowns on only 13 passes.
Valwood pushed their record up to 3-2 with the  win, which was their fourth straight  on the road dating back to last season. As for North Florida Christian,  this is the second loss in a row for them and  nudges their season record down to 2-3.
 Valwood and North Florida Christian will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next  contests. The next time the Valiants see the field they'll take on Tiftarea Academy  at 7:30  p.m.  on October 3. As for North Florida Christian, their break will end when they face Jefferson County  at 7:30  p.m.  on October 3.
