Softball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Green

Green extended their winning streak to three on Monday, bumping their season record up to 12-1 in the process. They came out on top against the Manchester Panthers by a score of 10-7. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 10-0 last Friday.

As for Manchester, their loss ended an eight-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 13-4. The pitching woes were uncharacteristic for they, who until this game were averaging 2.65 runs allowed.

For Manchester's part, Cassidy Perry made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Saige Rankin, who went 2-for-4 with two runs and two doubles.

Looking ahead, Green will challenge Lake at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Manchester, they will take on Canton South at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
