Softball Recap: Jefferson County North Chargers vs. Oskaloosa Bears

Jefferson County North had lost ten straight on the road dating back to last season, but on Thursday they dropped their record down to 2-12 to make it 11. They lost 26-5 to the Oskaloosa Bears. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bears this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 12-2 on Thursday.

Bowie Weishaar was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-2 with one home run and two RBI. That home run was her first of the season. Emmarie Hernandez was another key player, going 1-for-2 with one run, one double, and one RBI.
