Football Recap: Concordia Fighting Orioles vs. Braymer Bobcats

Concordia kicked off their season on the road on Friday and hit a couple of potholes. They lost 52-27 to the Braymer Bobcats. The Fighting Orioles just can't catch a break and have now endured four losses in a row dating back to last season.

Despite the loss, Concordia still got an impressive performance from Nephi Hon, who rushed for 86 yards and a touchdown on only five carries, and also threw for 141 yards and two touchdowns. Hon's also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, forcing a fumble, making ten total tackles, and defending a pass.

Jordan Haley went supernova for Braymer, throwing for 373 yards and six touchdowns while picking up 11.7 yards per attempt, and also rushing for 89 yards and a touchdown on only 12 carries. Haley didn't just play on offense: he also made three total tackles and defended a pass. Another player making a difference was Caegan Sensenich, who picked up 186 receiving yards and three touchdowns.

Concordia will be defending their home-field for the first timethey go up against Slater at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Braymer, they will venture away from home to challenge Southwest at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
