Football Recap: Lincoln Prep Falls to D'arbonne Woods in First Game of Season

Lincoln Prep unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They took a 37-24 hit to the loss column at the hands of D'Arbonne Woods on Friday. The Panthers have struggled against D'Arbonne Woods recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Despite the loss, Lincoln Prep still got an impressive performance from Zion Hicks, who rushed for 35 yards and a pair of touchdowns, and also threw for 228 yards and one TD while picking up 11.4 yards per attempt.

Looking ahead, Lincoln Prep will challenge Magnolia School of Excellence at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for D'Arbonne Woods, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Grant at 7:00 p.m. on the 18th.
