Baseball Recap: Genesee Comes Up Short

If Genesee was feeling good fresh off their 20-6 takedown of Colton last Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Bulldogs came up short against the Kendrick Tigers on Tuesday, falling 12-2. The Bulldogs have struggled against the Tigers recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost meeting.

Genesee saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Cameron Holmes, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with two stolen bases.

Genesee's defeat dropped their record down to 6-5-2. As for Kendrick, their victory was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 10-1.

Coming up, Genesee is taking a road trip to take on Potlatch at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Bulldogs will need to watch out since the Loggers have now posted at least ten runs in their last five matchups. As for Kendrick, they will be playing at home against Troy at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Tigers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Trojans have averaged an impressive 8.8 runs per game this season.
