Basketball Recap: Greene County Takes a Loss

Greene County lost against Lincoln County last Saturday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Greene County Tigers took a 61-46 bruising from the Lincoln County Red Devils. The Tigers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Lincoln County's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Janiah Norman, who dropped a double-double with 31 points and ten rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which Norman has scored at least a third of Lincoln County's points. Another player making a difference was Syriah Hogan, who dropped a triple-double with ten points, 17 boards, and ten steals.

Greene County's defeat dropped their record down to 6-17. As for Lincoln County, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 14-10 record this season.

Greene County has already played their next matchup, a 74-54 loss against Turner County on the 18th. As for Lincoln County, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 63-51 defeat against Clinch County on the 18th.
