Recap: Central Falls Warriors vs. Highlander Charter
The Central Falls Warriors had already won 12 in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 18.8 points), and they went ahead and made it 13 on Wednesday. Everything went their way against Highlander Charter as Central Falls made off with a 58-35 victory. Central Falls has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six matches by 20 points or more this season.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Central Falls to victory, but perhaps none more so than Moises Maldonando, who scored 16 points along with four steals. Maldonando hasn't dropped below 16 points for four straight games. Julian Ortiz was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with five rebounds and four steals.
Central Falls has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 14 of their last 15 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 15-5 record this season. As for Highlander Charter, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-4.
Central Falls will look to defend their home court on Friday against Blackstone Valley Prep at 6:45 p.m. Central Falls is coming into the game with nine straight victories at home, meaning Blackstone Valley Prep will have to defend against a squad hungry for a victory. Highlander Charter does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
