Cloverdale got off to a slow start in their matchup two weeks ago against Brown County, but they had no such trouble against Owen Valley as they cruised to a 18-point first half. Meanwhile, Owen Valley couldn't get anything going offensively, leaving the score at 18-0 heading into the break. Cloverdale put the match away in the third quarter with 30 points from the offense and seven points allowed from the defense.
Senior Jake Wilkes, who rushed for 267 yards and 4 touchdowns, was a major factor in Cloverdale's success.
