Volleyball Recap: Heritage Hills Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

Heritage Hills and Brownstown Central squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but Heritage Hills had to settle for second. They came up short against the Braves, falling 3-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Patriots have suffered since September 29th.

Gianna Goldsberry paced Heritage Hills' offense, picking up 11 kills. Goldsberry got some help from Kenley Bell and her ten assists. Mia Becher controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Sophie Wischmeier had another great game (as she tends to do), getting 24 kills and 13 digs for Brownstown Central. Those 24 kills gave Wischmeier a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Finley Wheeler, who had five digs and one block.

Heritage Hills moved to 21-13 with that loss, which also ended their four-match winning streak. As for Brownstown Central, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 29-5.

Heritage Hills does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Brownstown Central, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 3-2 defeat against Roncalli on the 1st.
