Basketball Game Preview: FBCHA Eagles vs. Dallas HSAA Angels

The FBCHA Eagles will look to take advantage of their home court for the first time this season as they take on the Dallas HSAA Angels at 1:20 p.m. on Friday. FBCHA will be looking to extend their current seven-game winning streak.

FBCHA's tournament run continued when they took on Columbus back in December of 2025. The Eagles walked away with a 53-40 win over the Cardinals. Given the Eagles' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 159th, while the Cardinals are ranked 353rd) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Dallas HSAA beat Vista Ridge 62-58 on Wednesday.

Dallas HSAA's win came from a few key players that FBCHA will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Aria Jefferson, who went 6-for-10 to rack up 19 points. Those 19 points gave her a new career-high. Evangeline Treece was another key player, shooting 67% from the field on her way to 12 points in addition to six rebounds and four blocks.

FBCHA's record now sits at 7-2. As for Dallas HSAA, their record is now 18-4.

FBCHA came up short against Dallas HSAA when the teams last played back in January of 2025, falling 74-65. Can the Eagles avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
