Basketball Recap: South Adams' Luck Changes for the Better on Saturday

If Muncie Burris wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played South Adams, they should've done a better job of containing Tytus Lehman. The South Adams Starfires blew past the Muncie Burris Owls 49-27 on Saturday thanks in part to Lehman, who went 7 of 16 en route to 16 points in addition to eight steals and six assists. Those eight steals gave him a new career-high.

Another player making a difference was Nolan Colpaert, who posted eight points along with 13 boards and four steals. He is trending in the right direction considering he's improved his point production for three straight games.

Despite the defeat, Muncie Burris had strong showings from Sam Isom, who earned nine points, and Lincoln Frost, who put up five points.

The victory snapped South Adams' losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 3-9 record. As for Muncie Burris, their loss was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-11.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Southern Wells the next time they take the court. Muncie Burris will host Southern Wells at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while South Adams will head out to face them at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
