Basketball Game Preview: Bullard Panthers vs. Rusk Eagles

The Bullard Panthers will challenge the Rusk Eagles at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Bullard has seven straight wins, Rusk has ten straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the court.

Bullard is headed into the matchup having just posted their closest victory since December 6, 2024 on Tuesday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past Madisonville 57-54.

Meanwhile, Rusk had to suffer through a 65-36 loss at the hands of Hudson.

Bullard has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten contests, which provided a nice bump to their 22-8 record this season. As for Rusk, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-15.

Everything came up roses for Bullard against Rusk in their previous meeting back in January, as the team secured a 78-41 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Bullard since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
