Softball Recap: Scripps Ranch Takes a Loss

Scripps Ranch blew El Camino out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Saturday El Camino got their revenge. The Scripps Ranch Falcons fell just short of the El Camino Wildcats by a score of 3-1. Having soared to a lofty 11 runs in the game before, the Falcons couldn't push the score so high this time.

Scripps Ranch saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Eme Ledbetter, who went 2-for-3 with one triple and one run. That triple marked the first that Ledbetter hit this season.

Scripps Ranch's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for El Camino, their win bumped their record up to 4-1.

Looking ahead, Scripps Ranch will be playing at home against Academy of Our Lady of Peace at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Scripps Ranch is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.5 runs per game this season. As for El Camino, they are headed away from home for the first time to challenge La Jolla at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday.
