Recap: Delta Saints vs. Woodland Christian Cardinals
Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but unfortunately for the Delta Saints, they weren't the ones who walked away with it. They were outmatched by the Cardinals on the road and fell 49-8. Delta has not had much luck with Woodland Christian recently, as the team's come up short the last seven times they've met.
Gavin McAllister threw for 89 yards on seven of 20 attempts. Max Danila was his top target, picking up 43 receiving yards. On the ground, Izaya Rubio rushed for 36 yards.
Among those leading the charge was Noah Hinkle, who rushed for 80 yards and two touchdowns, and also caught a touchdown. Devin Herrera also helped out with an impressive 95 receiving yards.
Delta has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-4 record this season. As for Woodland Christian, the victory for they keeps them at an undefeated 11-0.
Delta does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Woodland Christian will take on Stone Ridge Christian at 7:00 p.m. on November 17th. Stone Ridge Christian is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
