Basketball Recap: Greeley County's Win Ends Three-Game Losing Streak at Home

It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but Greeley County ultimately got the result they hoped for on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Stratton Eagles by a score of 51-43. The win almost wasn't to be: the Jackrabbits were down 43-0 in the fourth quarter.

Several Eagles players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Von Isenbart, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 15 rebounds. The dominant performance gave Isenbart a new career-high in boards. Another player making a difference was Gage Levin, who went 6 of 10 on his way to 12 points and seven rebounds.

Greeley County's victory ended a three-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 1-1.

Greeley County didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 66-52 win against Eads on the 13th. As for Stratton, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 52-51 victory against Stanton County on the 13th.
