Baseball Recap: Plainville Takes a Loss

Plainville came into their game on Friday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 15-4 to the Ellis Railroaders. The Cardinals haven't had much luck with the Railroaders recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Carson Ditter was cooking despite his team's loss, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two doubles, one run, and one RBI.

Plainville's loss dropped their record down to 7-12. As for Ellis, their win bumped their record up to 17-8.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Railroaders beat Plainville by a score of 16-7 later that day.
