Softball Recap: Old Bridge Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Old Bridge can now relate to. They fell just short of the Sayreville Bombers by a score of 2-1 on Wednesday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bombers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-1 back in April.

Old Bridge has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last eight matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-17 record this season. As for Sayreville, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 14-6.

As of now, neither Old Bridge nor the Bombers have any future games scheduled.
