Softball Recap: Valley Christian Extends Home Winning Streak to Three

The home team had won the previous four meetings between Valley Christian and St. Ignatius College Preparatory, and Valley Christian kept the tradition alive. The Warriors walked away with a 5-0 victory over the Wildcats on Friday. The Warriors haven't had any issues with the Wildcats recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

The team relied heavily on Charlotte Coney, who got on base in all three of her plate appearances with one home run and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Madelyn Hu, who went 1-for-2 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.

Valley Christian pushed their record up to 14-3 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.7 runs over those games. As for St. Ignatius College Preparatory, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 9-5.

Looking ahead, Valley Christian will face off against Burlingame at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for St. Ignatius College Preparatory, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Mills at 4:00 p.m. on the 25th.
