Itasca extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to seven on Friday, dropping them down to 0-4. They lost 15-9 to the Kaufer Seahawks. On the bright side, the nine- run performance marked the Wampus Cats' highest-scoring matchup to date.

Emma Malke and Rylee Markwardt did some serious damage despite the final result: Malke went a perfect 3-for-3 with five RBI, while Markwardt went a perfect 2-for-2 with three runs, one double, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Chainey Cockerham, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one triple and one run.

As for Kaufer, the victory snapped their losing streak at five games and leaves them with a 4-9 record. The game marked their most dominant win of the season.

On Kaufer's side, they got a massive performance out of Isabella De La Paz, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. That's the most runs De La Paz has posted over her last eight contests. Jayla Dodd also deserves some recognition as she brought in her first RBI of the season.

While Itasca had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday.
