Baseball Recap: Jeannette Find Success

Jeannette's game last Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the East Allegheny Wild Cats a 10-0 shutout. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for the Jayhawks' hitters, who had struggled in the games prior.

Noah Rattigan and Jayden Kennedy did most of the damage at the plate: Rattigan scored three runs and stole a base while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances, while Kennedy scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2. That's the most runs Rattigan has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Amari Thomas, who scored three runs while going 1-for-4.

Jeannette's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for East Allegheny, they dropped their record down to 0-4 with the loss, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Coming up, Jeannette will venture away from home to take on Woodland Hills at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for East Allegheny, they will host South Park at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
