Joe Parsons made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out 12 over seven innings pitched. That's the fewest hits he has allowed since back in February. He was also big at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. He is becoming a predictor of El Dorado's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is undefeated (and 4-5 when he doesn't).

In other batting news, Clay Garrett was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two triples, four RBI, and two runs. Those two triples gave him a new career-high. Garrison Ewing also deserves some recognition as he hit his first triple of the season.

El Dorado always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .514. They are a perfect 6-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

Meanwhile, Galt fell victim to Bradshaw Christian and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They came up short against the Pride, falling 10-0.

El Dorado pushed their record up to 8-5 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games. As for Galt, their loss dropped their record down to 3-5.

The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Tuesday as neither team is afraid to steal. El Dorado has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.3 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Galt struggles in that department as they've been averaging 5.1 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.

Everything went El Dorado's way against Galt in their previous meeting back in April of 2024, as El Dorado made off with a 6-0 victory. Does El Dorado have another victory up their sleeve, or will Galt turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
