Basketball Recap: Hebron Hawks vs. Westville Blackhawks

Hebron was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 15th straight defeat. They had to suffer through a 63-15 loss at the hands of the Westville Blackhawks. While losing is never fun, the Hawks can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 398th, while the Blackhawks are ranked 75th).

Hebron got a good chunk of their points from the dynamic duo of Evelyn Menn and Rachael DiSanto, who each put up four points.

Westville got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Hillary Labis out in front who went 7 for 14 on her way to 18 points and seven steals. The dominant performance gave Labis a new career-high in steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Andrea Benefield, who went 9 of 17 en route to 19 points and four steals.

Hebron's loss dropped their record down to 1-16. As for Westville, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 15-2.

Hebron has already played their next match, a 57-17 victory against Steel City Academy on the 18th. As for Westville, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 53-28 win against South Central on the 18th.
