Soccer Game Preview: Rowlett vs. North Garland

The Rowlett Eagles will face off against the North Garland Raiders at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Rowlett's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for nine straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Rowlett is likely headed into the match with a focus on the second half, which is when things went downhill against Wylie East on Tuesday. The Eagles lost 4-1 to the Raiders.

Meanwhile, North Garland kept a clean sheet against Naaman Forest on Wednesday. They skirted past the Rangers 1-0. Given North Garland's advantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 135th, while Naaman Forest are ranked 495th) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Rowlett's defeat dropped their record down to 0-9. As for North Garland, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 7-4-1 record this season.
