The Southside Southerners will look to take advantage of their home court for the first time this season as they take on the Searcy Lions at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Southside will be strutting in after a win while Searcy will be coming in after a loss.

Southside is coming home in high spirits after they had to open their season on the road against Harrisburg. Southside came out on top against Harrisburg by a score of 68-61 last Monday. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Southerners as it put an end to their three-game losing streak dating back to last season.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 79 points the game before, Searcy was a bit more limited in their match on Thursday. They were outmatched by Alma and fell 75-27. The game marked the Lions' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.
