Football Game Preview: Forrest Rockets vs. Chattanooga Prep Sentinels + Official Tickets

The Forrest Rockets are taking a road trip to challenge the Chattanooga Prep Sentinels at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Forrest is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 37.9 points per game this season.

Forrest hadn't beaten Watertown on the road since October 2, 2015 but that history sure didn't bother them on Friday. The Rockets came out on top against the Purple Tigers by a score of 35-28.

Forrest relied on the efforts of Quincy Mitchell, who rushed for 243 yards and three scores, and Micah Morgan, who rushed for 135 yards and a pair of touchdowns while picking up 8.4 yards per carry. Those 135 rushing yards gave Morgan a new career-high.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Forrest was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 378 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 176 rushing yards every time they've taken the field this season.

Meanwhile, Chattanooga Prep made easy work of Brainerd on Thursday and carried off a 26-6 win. Given the Sentinels' advantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee football rankings (they are ranked 129th, while the Panthers are ranked 296th) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Chattanooga Prep's defense made their presence known, laying out the QB three times. Ronnie Blackwell refused to say out of the backfield, picking up two sacks all by himself.

Forrest is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 41.8 points over those games. As for Chattanooga Prep, their record now sits at 4-6.
