Isabel Hernandez leads a balanced attack to beat Eagle Ridge Academy

The St. Mary's Academy Wildcats won the last time they faced the Eagle Ridge Academy Warriors, and things went their way on Wednesday too. St. Mary's Academy took down Eagle Ridge Academy 44-26. The victory made it back-to-back wins for St. Mary's Academy.

St. Mary's Academy's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Isabel Hernandez, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and ten rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Hernandez has scored all season. Aleena Nauman was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with eight steals and seven rebounds.

Despite the defeat, Eagle Ridge Academy saw an underclassman step up: Carole Tamburino dropped a double-double on 14 points and 14 rebounds. Tamburino has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last ten times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaz Greenwood, who scored six points along with four steals and two blocks.

St. Mary's Academy is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 6-4 record this season. As for Eagle Ridge Academy, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-6.
