Volleyball Recap: Algona Wins Going Away Against Clear Lake

Algona had to skate by with only a one-set margin when they last took the court, which might have inspired the three-set drubbing they dealt Clear Lake on Thursday. The Bulldogs put the hurt on the Lions with a sharp 3-0 win. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory the Bulldogs have posted against the Lions since September 11, 2018.

Algona is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-2 record this season. As for Clear Lake, the defeat snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 7-3 record.

Algona wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 2-1 loss against Lake Mills on the 20th. As for Clear Lake, they have also already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Central Springs on the 20th.
