Football Game Preview: Henley Hornets vs. North Bend Bulldogs + How To Watch

Henley has gone a perfect 3-0 against North Bend recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Hornets are taking a road trip to square off against the Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Henley is headed into the game after thoroughly thrashing Hidden Valley: they outscored them in every quarter. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the Hornets blew the Mustangs out of the water with a 47-0 final score. Given the Hornets' advantage in MaxPreps' Oregon football rankings (they are ranked 30th, while the Mustangs are ranked 119th) , the win on Friday wasn't entirely unexpected.

Joseph Janney was his usual excellent self, throwing for 227 yards and three touchdowns on only 11 passes, while also rushing for 45 yards and one score. Another player making a difference was Kai Montag, who picked up 115 receiving yards and a pair of TDs.

Henley didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. Jacob Bocchi picked up that interception and then proceeded to rub salt in the wound by taking it back the other way for a touchdown. Henley received some extra help from Trapper Cundall, whose fumble return for a touchdown made for one of the most unforgettable moments.

Meanwhile, the third road contest was the charm for North Bend, as they earned their first away victory of the season. They walked away with a 47-39 win over Ashland on Friday. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for the Bulldogs' offense, which had struggled in the games prior.

The victory got Henley back to even at 2-2. As for North Bend, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-3.

Everything went Henley's way against North Bend in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, as Henley made off with a 48-24 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Hornets since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
