Soccer Recap: Breese Central Comes Up Short

After flying high against East Alton-Wood River last Thursday, Breese Central came back down to earth. The Cougars came up short against the Greenville Comets on Tuesday, falling 4-1. The matchup was a 0-0 toss-up at halftime, but Breese Central couldn't quite close it out.

Breese Central's defeat dropped their record down to 5-9. As for Greenville, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 14-6.

Looking ahead, Breese Central will be playing in front of their home fans against Gibault Catholic at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Greenville, they are taking a road trip to square off against Salem at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
