Softball Game Preview: Durand Railroaders vs. Kearsley Hornets

The Durand Railroaders will challenge the Kearsley Hornets at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Things were looking good for Durand after they put the first run on the board on Monday, but unfortunately for them things went downhill from there. They took an 8-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of Byron.

Durand saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Hayli Pugh, who went 2-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI. That double marked the first that Pugh has hit this season.

Meanwhile, Kearsley fell victim to Fenton and their airtight pitching crew on Monday. They lost 17-0 to the Tigers. The Hornets have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Durand has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-4 record this season. As for Kearsley, they now have a losing record of 1-2.
