While Westview's victory against Peabody wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Chargers narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Golden Tide 3-2. The Chargers haven't had any issues with the Golden Tide recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive victory against them.

Myles McEwen spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered two runs (both of which were unearned) on three hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up a single earned run in four consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Graham Simpson and Casen Spaulding did most of the damage at the plate: Simpson went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double, while Spaulding went 3-for-4 with two runs and one double. That's the most hits Spaulding has posted over his last ten contests. Poston Essary was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one RBI.

Westview's record now sits at 15-10. As for Peabody, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 15-13 record this season.

Westview has already played their next matchup (against Lexington), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Peabody, they are taking a road trip to take on Dresden at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
