Baseball Recap: Dixon Comes Up Short

Dixon was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat. They fell 6-3 to the Sycamore Spartans. If the Dukes & Duchesses were looking for revenge after losing 4-3 to the Spartans when the teams met back in May of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Dixon saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brady Feit, who went 1-for-3 with three stolen bases.

Dixon now has a losing record of 12-13. As for Sycamore, their victory bumped their record up to 17-14.

Coming up, Dixon will take on Sterling at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Sycamore, they will square off against Wauconda at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Spartans' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Bulldogs have averaged an impressive 9 runs per game this season.
