Softball Recap: University Heights Blazers vs. Fort Campbell Falcons
For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when University Heights and Fort Campbell meet (four straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Monday. The Blazers came up short against the Falcons, falling 13-3. The Blazers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Falcons earlier this season, when they won 20-4.
University Heights saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Olivia Oakley, who went 2-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI. That double marked the first that Oakley has hit this season.
University Heights dropped their record down to 3-6 with the loss, which was their third straight at home. As for Fort Campbell, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 8-10.
Coming up, University Heights will face off against McLean County at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
