Volleyball Recap: Vasquez Makes It Six in a Row at Home

The Vasquez Mustangs got the win against the Rosemead Panthers on Tuesday by a conclusive 3-0. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Mustangs.

Vasquez never let Rosemead on the board, but things got pretty close in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 29-27, 25-18, 25-19.

Diego Camacho paced Vasquez's offense, picking up 16 kills. Camacho got some help from Ethan Vazquez and his 23 assists. Vazquez was also solid from the service line: he led the team with four aces.

Rosemead's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Voung Andy Pham, who had 50 digs and two aces. Pham is on a roll when it comes to digs, as he's now had 11 or more in each of the last four games he's played.

Vasquez's win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 21-5. As for Rosemead, their loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 11-4.

Vasquez didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 3-0 defeat against Brea Olinda on the 2nd. Rosemead does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
