Basketball Game Preview: Skyline Raiders vs. Cedar Hill Longhorns

Skyline is 1-9 against Cedar Hill since November of 2014 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Monday. The Skyline Raiders will finish 2024 at home by hosting the Cedar Hill Longhorns at 7:30 p.m.

Skyline is headed into Monday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their 12th straight game on Friday. They were outmatched by Lancaster and fell 80-24. While losing is never fun, the Raiders can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 747th, while the Tigers are ranked 42nd).

Meanwhile, Cedar Hill waltzed into their game on Thursday with three straight wins... but they left with four. Couldn't have asked for a better way to wrap up 2024 than the 75-31 stomp they got against the Pirates. The Longhorns have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six contests by 30 points or more this season.

Cedar Hill has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 13-4 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.0 points per game. As for Skyline, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-13.
