Volleyball Recap: First Presbyterian Day Takes a Loss

First Presbyterian Day and Brookstone squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but First Presbyterian Day had to settle for second. They lost 3-0 to the Cougars. The Vikings have struggled against the Cougars recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive lost matchup.

Brookstone was led to victory by Anne Sluder and Carsyn Galligan. Sluder had 13 digs and three assists, while Galligan hit 82.4% for 14 kills and seven aces and one assist. Galligan is on a roll when it comes to kills, as she's now had five or more in each of the last 68 games she's played dating back to last season.

First Presbyterian Day's loss dropped their record down to 12-18. As for Brookstone, the victory (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 26-6.

First Presbyterian Day does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Brookstone, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Valwood on the 4th.
