Football Recap: Necedah Takes a Loss

Necedah was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 11th straight loss dating back to last season. They took a blow against the Melrose-Mindoro Mustangs, falling 42-0. If the Cardinals were looking for revenge after losing 49-0 to the Mustangs when the teams met back in August of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Necedah's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Melrose-Mindoro, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Necedah and Melrose-Mindoro will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Cardinals will take on rival Cashton at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Melrose-Mindoro is set to face off against their familiar foe Eleva-Strum at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
