Baseball Game Preview: Piqua Indians vs. Stebbins Indians

For the second straight game, Piqua will face off against Stebbins. Piqua will challenge Stebbins at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.

Piqua blew Stebbins out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Friday Stebbins got their revenge. Piqua fell just short of Stebbins by a score of 3-1. Having soared to a lofty 15 runs in the game before, Piqua couldn't push the score so high this time.

For Stebbins' part, Brayden Walters made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run over six innings pitched. Walters has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in four consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with one triple and one run. That triple marked the first that he has hit this season.

In other batting news, Jordan Rapsik was excellent, going a perfect 1-for-1 with two stolen bases and one RBI.

Stebbins now has a winning record of 5-4-1. As for Piqua, with the loss, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 5-5.
