Basketball Recap: Portland Adventist Academy Takes Loss Despite Strong Performances from Martin Villa and Oliver Thompson + How To Watch

Portland Adventist Academy was the 68-58 winner over Blanchet Catholic when they last played one another back in January of 2020, but their luck changed this time around. The Cougars fell 44-32 to the Cavaliers on Tuesday.

Oliver Thompson and Martin Villa certainly did their best on Tuesday to avoid the loss. Thompson posted 13 points and six boards, while Villa almost dropped a double-double with 12 points and nine rebounds. Villa has been hot recently, having posted nine or more rebounds the last three times he's played.

Leading Blanchet Catholic to victory were Sam Mosar and Julian Kaya. Mosar put up 12 points, while Kaya scored 11 points.

Portland Adventist Academy's loss was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-1.

Coming up, Portland Adventist Academy will face off against Portland Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Blanchet Catholic, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Cascade Christian at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
