Recap: Bethel Christian Academy Crusaders vs. Bethel Christian Academy Eagles
The Bethel Christian Academy Crusaders were the 43-28 winner over the Bethel Christian Academy Eagles when they last played one another back in December of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Crusaders fell 40-29 to the Eagles on Friday.
The Eagles were led to victory by Lexi Mendez and Cherish Carson. Mendez scored 19 points along with two steals, while Carson dropped a double-double on 17 points and 16 rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which Mendez has scored at least a third of the Eagles' points.
The Crusaders have been struggling recently, as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-6 record this season. As for the Eagles, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 5-2 record this season.
Bethel Christian Academy will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Reynolds Mountain Christian Academy at 4:30 p.m. As for Bethel Christian Academy, they will head out on the road to face off against Haywood Christian Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Haywood Christian Academy comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
