Basketball Recap: Bluffton Triumphs

Bluffton won the last time they faced Colleton County, and Amirah Brown did her part to make sure it happened again. The Bluffton Bobcats snuck past the Colleton County Cougars with a 35-31 victory on Tuesday thanks in part to Brown, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 12 boards. She is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last 18 games she's played dating back to last season.

EmmaKate McMahon was another key player, putting up three points along with six blocks and three steals. Those six blocks gave her a new career-high.

Bluffton now has a winning record of 8-7. As for Colleton County, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-10 record this season.

Bluffton will face off against Bishop England at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Bishop England knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past nine games -- so hopefully Bluffton likes a good challenge. Colleton County has already played their next contest (against Hilton Head Island), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
