Basketball Recap: Gateway Regional Comes Up Short

Gateway Regional lost against Gloucester City last Thursday and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Gateway Regional Gators were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 43-42 to the Gloucester City Lions.

Gateway Regional now has a losing record at 2-3. As for Gloucester City, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 5-0.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Gateway Regional will welcome Collingswood at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Collingswood's defense has only allowed 29 points per game this season, so Gateway Regional's offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Gloucester City, they will look to take advantage of their home court for the first time this season as they take on Paulsboro at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Gloucester City is facing Paulsboro at the right time seeing as Paulsboro is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
