Central hadn't done well against Hudson recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. The Bears walked away with a 2-0 win over the Cobras. The Bears were shut out 3-0 the last time they took on the Cobras, so the Bears were just returning the favor.

While Central might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Hudson scored at least 18 points in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 25-20.

Central's offense was headlined by Nathalia Charles and Isabella Colon, who picked up three kills apiece. They got some help from Lacie Bigger and her eight assists. Charles was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

Central has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Central will face off against Springstead at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Hudson, they will head out to face off against Nature Coast Tech at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
