Basketball Recap: Eastern Randolph Takes a Loss

If Eastern Randolph was feeling good fresh off their 52-29 takedown of Faith Christian last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Eastern Randolph Wildcats were outmatched by the Randleman Tigers and fell 68-28. The Wildcats were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 42-12.

When it comes to explaining why Eastern Randolph lost on Tuesday, don't look at Kenly Whitaker. Despite the final result, she posted ten points and five boards. That's the most points Whitaker has posted since back in February of 2024.

Randleman found their leader in freshman Jacquline McDaniel, who went 8 for 10 on her way to 19 points in addition to seven rebounds and five assists. Another player making a difference was Addyson Dees, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and nine boards.

Eastern Randolph's loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 4-11. As for Randleman, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 12-6.

Eastern Randolph has already played their next game, a 63-39 defeat against Providence Grove on the 30th. As for Randleman, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 48-40 loss against Southwestern Randolph on the 31st.
