Baseball Recap: Abington Comes Up Short

Abington was the 18-2 winner over Rockland when they last played one another back in April of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Green Wave took a 9-6 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bulldogs on Monday.

Abington's defeat dropped their record down to 6-4. As for Rockland, their victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 5-5.

Looking ahead, Abington will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against East Bridgewater at 4:00 p.m. The Vikings' pitching crew has only allowed 3.2 runs per game this season, so the Green Wave's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Rockland, they will take on Cardinal Spellman at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Bulldogs are facing the Cardinals at the right time seeing as the Cardinals are stuck on a four-game losing streak.
