After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Patrick Henry, University City was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Mission Bay Buccaneers, sneaking past 3-2. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-1 back in September.

University City had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first two sets, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 22-25, 20-25, 25-23, 25-17, 15-12.

Despite the loss, Mission Bay still got an impressive performance from Brynn Sloan, who had ten digs and six aces.

The win got University City back to even at 17-17. As for Mission Bay, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 18-15.

University City wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-0 loss against Point Loma on the 21st. As for Mission Bay, they have also already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against Hilltop on the 20th.
