Volleyball Recap: Neuse Charter Has No Trouble Against Triangle Math & Science

It was a proper cat-fight when Neuse Charter faced off against Triangle Math & Science on Tuesday. The Cougars blew past the Tigers 3-0. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Cougars as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

One reason for the win was Neuse Charter's just kept getting better, winning each set by more points than the last. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 25-15, 25-6.

Layla Johnson paced Neuse Charter's offense, picking up 14 kills. Johnson got some help from Ella Highfil and her 19 assists.

The victory got Neuse Charter back to even at 7-7. As for Triangle Math & Science, they are on a 14-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-12.

Neuse Charter has already played their next contest, a 3-1 win against NCSSM: Durham on the 18th. As for Triangle Math & Science, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 loss against Roxboro Community on the 18th.
