Baseball Recap: Nitro Comes Up Short

It was a proper cat-fight when Nitro duked it out with Chapmanville Regional on Monday. The Wildcats lost 9-1 to the Tigers. The Wildcats were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Tigers earlier this season, when they won 8-0.

Nitro has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost 13 of their last 16 matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-18 record this season. As for Chapmanville Regional, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 9-13.

Looking ahead, Nitro will face off against Lincoln County at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Chapmanville Regional does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
